tip for the camera

Post by zeke365 »

All I really need help is with the camera, is there a way or list any of you has the camera letter and the direction associated with it. I know muvizu tutorial does not really give me good helpful advice on that but be nice to have that info cause I always seem to get confused on which one is which.

Example

s is backward
w forward
l sideways right

I need something like this. This will be extremely helpful to me in the future.

You use WASD as if they were arrow keys like in games.

There's also this tutorial on everything to do with directing camera movement:

I have seen the tutorial and that thing before and unfortunately never really learned those controls, all I m asking what each button does like does w go up, l go down. That all really need to know it quite confusing and I forget what each button does when doing a new scene.

The official "cheat sheet" is this:

Since Muvizu's built on a game engine, the controls are similar to what you'd find in a game.

This info may be wrong because I haven't done this in a while.

W is forward in the direction you're looking. So if you are looking up at the sky, you'll move up to the sky.
S is backwards in the same way.
A is move left
D is move right
If you look at your keyboard, you'll see the button layout is the same as the arrow keys so it should be fairly natural to press those 4 depending on how you want to move.

Q and E are directly up and down I think?

[ is roll camera left
] is roll camera right (Think of these like tipping your head left and right while still looking forward)

I assume Page Up is look up (but keeping the camera position still) and Page Down is look down.

↑ is move forwards parallel to the ground
↓ is move backwards parallel to the ground
← is turn the camera left (but keeping the camera position still)
→ is turn the camera right (but keeping the camera position still)
