Doc's 1 minute or less competition - Summer 2017

Post by Doc »

We haven't had a Muvizu competition for a while, so here's something which might inspire you to start your movie-making productions.

You have just under a month to make a film based on a topic of your choice.

The rules are:
  • Your film must be 60 seconds or less in length
  • Your film must contain only assets which you have created or have the rights to use. (creative commons etc)
  • The deadline for entries is midnight 13th August 2017 (UK time)
  • Your film must have been uploaded to YouTube after the start date of the competition. (No old videos please)
  • A link to your film must be posted in this thread before the deadline
  • You may enter more than one video, and each video will be rated individually
After the deadline, a poll will be set up in this forum where users can vote on their favourite film.

Sorry, no prizes for this one, unless someone wants to donate something. ;)

If you're looking for some inspiration, you have have a look through the Anizu gallery to see what our members have made in the past. http://www.anizu.uk/gallery

If you think you may need some help working with Muvizu, then you can have a look through the Muvizu tutorials http://www.anizu.uk/help or on the Muvizu wiki archive http://www.anizu.uk/wiki

If you can't find a certain prop in Muvizu, then you can look through the asset store to see if someone else has made one for Muvizu before http://www.anizu.uk/anizuAssets

If you don't have Muvizu yet, you can download it here: http://www.anizu.uk/muvizu-downloads/Mu ... 1R_x64.exe
It's easy to learn, so get stuck in!

Remember, we're not looking for masterpieces here, it's just a bit of fun to make something with Muvizu!

I look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

Hi all,

I like to participate in the competition with a car chase scene from my latest (Dutch) movie I'm working on. Soon to see here...
This car chase is all done in Muvizu and edited with Hitfilm. I scaled everything in Muvizu down to the smallest size to make the world bigger for a long road.

The 13th is on Sunday? There is a very slight chance of an entry from me. I just got Muvizu installed once more. If I can make something tomorrow night or on Friday, maybe I will be able to enter something for fun, or practice or both.

Thanks for hosting a competition Doc.

I agree Ziggy. Ikes, your car chase is awesome. I love the behind the wheel shots and the lighting. You got a lot of mileage in 53 seconds of filming.
Thank you for the subtitles. They helped. I am watching a lot of anime so enjoy reading subs while hearing the original language.
