When I import .ase after exporting from Sketchup (8 & 2017) with and without collision / all combos of texture i.d. / single double sided...
They all come out chewed up. : Kinda soggy and dull.
Someone showed me a trick about moving edges, but it got lost in the MZ black hole.

Re: Importing Sketchup .ase
Can you post a picture of what you mean? Hard to help when all we've got to go on is that the edges are wrong somehow.

Re: Importing Sketchup .ase
YES that's exactly it. I was lookin' all over for that page! Thank you! Now, to study it...I'll prolly have questions, as I didn't understand exactly what to do last time I read it. Ziggy: Fazzing lol. U guyz rock!
Re: Importing Sketchup .ase
Yes, you need to offset the edges a bit or the shadows go wonky on sketchup models that haven't been properly UV mapped. I guess 'soggy' was fairly accurate though
Re: Importing Sketchup .ase
Hahahaha Ziggy! Soggy came to mind. I'll prolly have questions when I try this out. Thanks again, guys! You're the best!
Re: Importing Sketchup .ase
Thanks Ziggy and Doc and everyone! Finally figured out what the offset tool did! Worked! THANK YOU!:)
